About Barbara

Barbara Tully, Pivotal Therapies, Navan.

My name is Barbara Tully. I am a wife and a mother to two young children. In my free time,  I enjoy swimming and running. As a mother myself, I have a passion for working with Children and their parents to ensure that I am making a positive and everlasting impact on their lives.

I graduated from the University of Salford in 2006 with a BSC Honours degree, in Occupational Therapy. I worked for 17years in the HSE until 2023 when I started my journey in private practice. Throughout my time with the HSE, I worked alongside many specialist teams with a range of diverse clinical areas such as acute hospital, Paediatric and Adult Primary Care and Disability services. I have specialised in Paediatrics since 2011 and I have worked in various Paediatric disability and Primary services in Dublin, Louth, and Meath.

One of the highlights of my career was being part of developing and starting a new Children’s Disability team in Dublin when this did not previously exist.

Throughout my career in Paediatrics, I have encompassed specialist training in Sensory Integration, Autism Spectrum disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Floor time model approach, Poly Vagal Theory, Wilbarger deep pressure and therapressure technique as well as Handwriting and Motor Skills.
